Need Official Warrant Information?
Route the request by court and record type. Erath’s research did not identify a separate public warrant hotline or a countywide warrant-status counter, so the contacts below should not be described as one combined service.
- District criminal files: District Clerk, 254-965-1486, Donald R. Jones Justice Center, 298 S Graham, Stephenville, TX 76401. The 266th Judicial District Court administrator uses 254-965-1485.
- County misdemeanor records: County Clerk, criminal records 254-965-1407; main office 254-965-1482. Criminal-misdemeanor records are at 298 S Graham. Other clerk functions use Annex III, 222 E College. Posted clerk hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Precinct citations: JP 1/3/4, 298 S Graham, 254-965-1489. JP 2, 219 S Grafton, Dublin, 254-445-2766. Each precinct has a separate citation-search route.
- City citations: Stephenville Municipal Court, 298 W Washington, 254-552-1227; Dublin Municipal Court, 213 E Blackjack, 254-445-3331, with portal court contact 254-445-3348. Confirm city-specific warrant and payment instructions.
- Sheriff-held records: Erath County Sheriff’s Office, 1043 Glen Rose Highway, Stephenville, TX 76401, 254-965-3338. Use its public-information process for releasable arrest, booking, incident, execution, or return records.
- Resolving process: ask the issuing court and a licensed Texas attorney about the appropriate hearing, bond, motion, payment, or appearance route. A records request does not recall judicial process.
JP 1/3/4 posts Monday/Friday hours of 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., with Tuesday-Thursday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. JP 2 posts Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. The two municipal portals list weekday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. hours. These operational details should be confirmed with the office before appearing.
The Sheriff’s Open Records page links its online request form and explains local cost and payment rules. A request should identify the public record and relevant incident or date range. Court records should instead be requested from the appropriate clerk.
For custody routing, the Erath Jail lists 254-965-3221 and 1043 Glen Rose Road. Its visitation information does not establish bond-window or warrant-surrender hours. Ask the issuing court where the particular transaction or appearance belongs.
When calling a court, ask for the current process label, whether personal appearance is needed, and what written record will show the next setting or completed action. Clerks can explain procedure but cannot choose a legal strategy for you. For an immediate emergency, call 911 rather than using a routine records or court contact.
